INTRODUCTION TO KEL-GOR

Kel-Gor is a long-established industrial contractor headquartered in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. The company was incorporated in 1969 following a merger with its predecessor, The L. Gordon Company, which was incorporated in 1951.

The services we provide to industry include

Custom Fabricating -industrial process equipment including piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, fired heaters, cracking furnaces, heat recovery units, modular process units, cold boxes, tanks, hoppers, stacks, ducts. Mechanical Contracting -construction and repair of industrial facilities including oil refineries, chemical plants, industrial gas producers, oil and natural gas pipeline stations, power generating stations, pulp and paper plants, and waste/water treatment plants.

Our Clients include all of the blue-chip companies in Sarnia's Chemical Valley. In addition we fabricate equipment and assemble large and complex modular process units for various international engineering contrators and technology companies. We have shipped these products via road, rail, or water across Canada, all over the USA, to Europe, to South America, and to the Far East.

We have the people with the expertise needed to meet the technically challenging requirements of our clients. We handle all aspects of the projects, from design/detailing through procurement and fabrication to construction completion. We are well supported by a local network of suppliers and competent subcontractors.

We have the facilities and equipment, owned and maintained by Kel-Gor.  We are well equiped for various types of field construction activities.  Our shops and manufacturing facilities include 65,000 square feet of shops/warehouse with multiple heavy cranes and automated / semi-automated welding equipment, on 15 acres of land.

We have the programs, systems, and procedures to be effective.  These include a comprehensive safety program actively administerd, a quality assurance program designed to ISO9002, and numerous welding procedures for various metallurgies for services ranging from cryogenic to high-temperature high-pressure.

Kel-Gor has proven its ability to successfully complete a variety of jobs in each of its service areas.  Our list of typical projects completed and our client references will attest to our record of performance.  We are effective with small and large jobs, ranging from the smallest, single-trade repair to the larger , more complex grass-roots projects involving a number of direct-hire trades and sub-contractors.

We are comfortable with executing fixed - price contracts up to $25 million and/or involving a workforce of up to 300 men.
