QUALITY CONTROL

Quality - A prime concern of our clients and of our tradesman and staff, also the number one concern of our staff. We at Kel-Gor are continually striving to provide the best product to the highest standards of quality.

Kel-Gor employs formally trained and well-experienced technical personnel in the various functions. These include project managers with various technical backgrounds in design, construction, and project management, mechanical technologists and welding technologists to monitor and guide our production/construction processes, design/drafting personnel for piping and structural steel, and Q.A. Inspectors with NDT certifications to Level II and Level III CGSB to administer our quality program to meet code and customer specifications.

Quality Assurance Programs

We have an established quality assurance program, designed to ISO 9002 standards and administered by a full-time Quality Assurance staff. Our certifications are as follows:

Canadian Welding Bureau

Certified Welding Procedures

We are certified by the Ontario TSSA Boilers and Pressure Vessels Safety Division to weld piping and pressure components in various metallurgies.

We have over 100 welding procedures registered and many welders qualified under Section IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The metallurgies include various ferrous and non-ferrous materials, from impact-tested steels to high-temperature high-strengths alloys:

Carbon Steel - up to 8 " thick Chrome - Moly Alloy - up to 3/4 " thick Stainless Steel - up to 8 " thick
Nickel Alloy - up to 3/4 " thick Aluminum - up to 1 3/8 " thick Specialty Alloys - e.g. Cast Tubes

Welding processes certified include SMAW, SAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and Brazing.

Towards our goal of product quality and process continuous improvement we are always evaluating new welding products and technology.
