Tom Parkes
PresidentTom joined Kel-Gor in 1981 as a 1st Year Apprentice Pipefitter, working for his father, Ron Parkes, a supervisor with Kel-Gor Limited for over 20 years. Tom has worked for the company as a Journeyman, Foreman, Area Foreman, Planner, Coordinator, Site Manager, Estimator, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Operations. In December 2017, Tom was named President of Kel-Gor Limited, with a focus on the company’s Health & Safety and Quality Assurance programs, as well as providing oversight and direction for the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

Senior Vice President OperationsBlair joined Kel-Gor in 2023. Blair is a skilled professional with a diverse background starting in the trades, planning, scheduling, Supervision, and Project management. Key areas of expertise are oil & gas, construction, major projects, and turnarounds. He began his career at Petro-Canada in 2000 while transitioning to Suncor in 2012, where he became adept at navigating the ever-changing energy sector. Blair’s vision and strong leadership skills have been instrumental in achieving organizational success. In addition to his hands-on experience, Blair has furthered his expertise by completing leadership programs through Harvard's online business courses, demonstrating his dedication to ongoing self-improvement and excellence in his field.

Vice President ConstructionDave joined Kel-Gor in 1994 as a Red Seal Construction Boilermaker. Dave is a graduate of Humber College, has served on the Ontario IHSA Construction Boilermaker Committee and is presently a member of both the Master Insulators Association and Boilermaker Contractors Association. Dave was named Vice President of Construction in 2018, after serving 24 years in various capacities within Kel-Gor. In his new position, Dave is responsible for the executive oversight and resource allocation of all construction related activities, ensuring that safety and quality are at the forefront of every project.

Vice President Business DevelopmentSteve joined Kel-Gor in 1994 and has performed various roles, including Boilermaker, Welder, Quality Assurance Advisor, Safety Officer, Supervisor, General Superintendent and Project Manager. Steve has more than 30 years of experience in work execution, general management, construction, maintenance, project and labour relations management, serving the petrochemical, gas, power generation and oil refining industries. In 2018, Steve assumed the role of Vice President of Business Development, being responsible for growth and expansion across the organization and throughout all geographical areas.
CloseCaroline McKenzie
General ManagerCaroline joined Kel-Gor in 2022. Caroline earned her Chartered Accountant qualification in 2004, spending the first few years of her career providing audit and business assurance for a diverse range of clients. Her career expanded into enhancing operational and business efficiencies, as well as the management of many successful mergers and acquisitions. At Kel-Gor, Caroline oversees the finance, administration and project controls aspect of the business.

Quality Control ManagerDerek joined Kel-Gor in 2001 as a Quality Inspector, after graduating from Lambton College in 1995 with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Derek has been a certified ISO 9000 Auditor and is also certified by Kel-Gor for Weld Visual Examination as required by ASME codes (Sections I, VIII, B31.1, B31.3) and CWB W47.1. Derek was named Quality Control Manager in 2008.

Safety ManagerDayna joined Kel-Gor in 2024, bringing with her nearly 20 years of industry safety experience across Canada. Dayna holds various certifications and specialties such as Certified Red Cross First Aid Instructor, Construction Environmental and Safety, Construction Safety Training, Rescue from Heights, Construction Quality Management, Project Management and Heavy/Civil Management.
CloseMatt Gordon
DirectorMatt joined Kel-Gor’s executive management team in 2016 and serves as the on-site representative for the company’s ownership group. In addition to providing executive oversight and strategic planning, Matt plays an active role in the company’s mergers and acquisitions strategies and helps to oversee and manage the development of new business ventures and divisions. Matt holds an MBA from Ivey Business School.
